Kelsey Mulder

Dr. Kelsey Mulder is the Director of Catastrophe Research & Development at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group and has worked for Liberty since February 2022, focusing on worldwide natural catastrophe insurance and reinsurance. Kelsey has worked in the insurance industry since 2017, both at another London Market syndicate and at model vendor RMS. Kelsey has a BS in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, MS in Geography from East Carolina University, and PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Manchester. Her PhD thesis was entitled “Tornadoes in the British Isles: Climatology, Formation Environments, and Storm Dynamics”. Kelsey has also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Reading studying the quantification and communication of uncertainty.
